Basic Tools is the starting technology in StarRupture, available immediately upon landing on the planet. This foundational research unlocks the essential tools needed for survival: the pickaxe for mining, the axe for woodcutting, and the workbench for crafting. Without these basic implements, players cannot progress beyond simple hand-gathering. This technology represents humanity's first step toward establishing a permanent presence on the alien world, providing the means to extract resources and create more advanced equipment.
