These segmented creatures can grow up to 15 meters long and surface explosively when they sense running footsteps or heavy machinery operation. While territorial and dangerous when provoked, tunnel worms are not actively aggressive and can be avoided by moving slowly and carefully. They are valuable targets for experienced hunters, as their digestive systems contain rare ores and minerals absorbed from underground deposits. The worm segments they drop are essential components for advanced drilling equipment.
