Overview
Swarm Drones are small flying creatures that emerge from organic hives in massive numbers, overwhelming intruders through sheer quantity rather than individual strength. Each drone is weak and easily killed, but swarms can contain 20-50 individuals that attack simultaneously, making them deadly to unprepared players. These creatures are the defensive system of larger hive structures, spawning continuously until the hive itself is destroyed. Swarm Drones drop valuable drone parts used for crafting automated systems and energy cell fragments. The key to surviving swarm encounters is using area-of-effect weapons and prioritizing hive destruction over individual drones.

- Continuous spawning - Endless until hive destroyed
- Hive respawn time: 2 hours after destruction

Strategy
- Destroy the hive first - stops spawning permanently
- Use shotgun or flamethrower for area damage
- Explosives can kill multiple drones at once
- Wear armor - individual hits are weak but add up quickly
- Build turrets near hives for automated defense
- Kite backwards while shooting to avoid being surrounded
- Fire damage is 3x effective against drones
- Worth clearing hives for drone parts and safe exploration
