Why Copper Matters
Copper is essential for electricity, automation, and electronics in StarRupture. While not needed immediately, copper becomes critical when you start building power systems and automated machines. Start collecting copper by day 3-4 to avoid bottlenecks later.
Essential Copper Crafts (Priority Order)
Craft these copper items for maximum progression:
1. Copper Wire (Days 5-7)
- Copper Wire: 1 copper ingot = 5 wire
- Used for: Power cables, circuits, electronics
- How much: Craft 100+ wire immediately
Why first: Wire is the foundation of all electrical systems. You'll need hundreds.
2. Power Cables (Days 6-8)
- Power Cable: 5 copper wire each
- Used for: Connecting generators to machines
- How much: 20-30 cables for small base
Why second: Can't use generators without cables to distribute power.
3. Circuit Boards (Days 8-10)
- Circuit Board: 10 copper wire + 5 silicon
- Used for: Advanced machines, computers, electronics
- How much: 50+ for mid-game machines
