Why Iron Matters

Iron is the most important metal in StarRupture. You'll use it from day 2 through end game for tools, weapons, armor, machines, and structures. Knowing what to craft with iron determines how fast you progress.

Craft these iron items first for maximum impact:

1. Iron Tools (Days 2-3)

• Iron Pickaxe: 20 iron ingots - 3x faster mining
• Iron Axe: 20 iron ingots - 3x faster wood gathering
• Iron Hammer: 15 iron ingots - Build faster

Why first: Tools triple your gathering speed. Best ROI in the game.

2. Iron Weapons (Days 3-5)

• Iron Sword: 25 iron ingots - 3x damage vs basic weapons
• Iron Spear: 20 iron ingots - Good range and damage
• Crossbow: 30 iron ingots, 10 wood - Ranged option

Why second: Better weapons = survive harder areas = access better resources.

3. Iron Armor (Days 5-7)

• Iron Helmet: 15 iron ingots - +20 defense
• Iron Chestplate: 30 iron ingots - +40 defense
• Iron Leggings: 25 iron ingots - +30 defense
• Iron Boots: 15 iron ingots - +15 defense
• Full Set: 85 iron ingots total - +105 defense

Why third: Armor lets you survive longer, but offense (tools/weapons) comes first.
