The Pistol is your first reliable ranged weapon in StarRupture, providing essential protection against the hostile fauna of Arcadia-7. This semi-automatic sidearm offers a perfect balance of accessibility, ammunition efficiency, and stopping power for early-game threats. While it won't take down a Brute or Shadow Hunter, the Pistol is more than adequate for dealing with Stalkers, Spitters, and Swarm Drones. Its low crafting cost and common ammunition make it the ideal weapon for new survivors who need protection but can't yet afford advanced weaponry. Every explorer should carry a loaded pistol - Arcadia-7 is unforgiving to the unarmed.
